Sykes, 30, has won 30 World Superbike races during his career and currently sits second in the championship points standings. He made a similar appearance at D-Store Orange County in Costa Mesa last December during that shop’s grand reopening party. The D-Store San Francisco event is free and open to the public and will include a question-and-answer period, an autograph session and a few surprises. Food and drink will be served.
“We’re really looking forward to welcoming our customers to meet Tom Sykes,” said Dainese Retail Coordinator Shelli Bohrer. “Tom has a great personality and is one of the most popular riders in World Superbike. The Bay Area is arguably the country’s strongest market for sport bike riders, and with the Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca race happening just a few days later, we’re expecting a strong turnout.”
The D-Store San Francisco is at 131 S. Van Ness Ave. Free parking is available behind the store (off Howard St.), and there are limited motorcycle spots in front, on South Van Ness. Attendees are encouraged to RSVP to d-store.sanfrancisco@dainese.com.
