On the eve of the Olympic Games, senior Cabinet Ministers hosted the Global Investment Conference (GIC), launching the British Business Embassy and its series of Global Business Summits at Lancaster House.
The conference brought together the top global decision-makers with over 200 business leaders, policy-makers, and investors from around the world, providing a unique opportunity to address how we pursue global growth and partnerships.
Building on the momentum created by the Olympic and Paralympic Games, and our experience of being the host country, the GIC demonstrated the UK as a thought leader, and a creative and innovative nation.
The British Prime Minister David Cameron and the Governor of the Bank of England, Mervyn King, both addressed the conference –
