On Wednesday, February 22nd, 2023, we welcomed Stewart Pearce, internationally renowned Master of Voice, Author, Performance Coach, Inspirational Speaker and Corporate Consultant to our city by the Bay for a fireside chat with KTVU News Anchor and Reporter Frank Mallicoat at the offices of Grant Thornton.

We enjoyed a fascinating evening learning of Stewart’s lifelong experiences as a vocal coach to a veritable list of who’s who in Hollywood including Vanessa Redgrave, Anita Roddick, Mo Mowlem, Sir Mark Rylance, Hugh Bonneville, Simon Callow, Eddie Redmayne and Sebastian Stan to name a few.  We also learned of the time he spent helping former UK Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher to find her voice and how he has worked with a myriad of leading corporations, including L’Oreal, BBC, PriceWaterhouseCooper, UBS and Allen & Overy, as a communication advisor for senior executives.

Most famously however, he helped the most celebrated woman on the planet, Diana, Princess of Wales, to find her voice and what Stewart describes as her “true note” or how to communicate from the heart.  Naturally, our audience was intrigued to learn about the background of they came to work together and we were delighted by the stories of Diana and her joie de vivre, passion for helping those less fortunate and at times her “naughtiness”.   You can learn all about his time and work with Princess Diana in his best-selling book, Diana, the Voice of Change.  He is also the author of The Alchemy of Voice, The Heart’s Note and the Angels of Atlantis.

In a deeper dive, we learned more about his background and how he came to be where he is today.  Stewart has enjoyed huge success in the business and philanthropic world. Two of the most prestigious positions he has held were Master of Voice at Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre London and Head of Voice at the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art.  He has become a Royal commentator appearing on global media outlets, including US TV networks NBC and Fox.
