The San Francisco Newcomers’ Mixer took place on June 1st 2017 and was hosted by Global Transfer Company, OFX. The evening was intended to bring together Newcomers and Veterans of the Bay Area (as well as those in-between); networking existing businesses with potential new clients, and ensuring that any questions that these clients had were answered by industry professionals. 

The Event was very kindly hosted in the OFX office, and was moderated by Jason Kumpf of OFX, the BABC, the FACC and GABA.

As stated above, the event was designed with multiple goals in mind: We wanted to allow Newcomers to the Bay Area the opportunity to not only network with others in a similar situation, but also to vocalize any questions that they may have had concerning insurance, tax, medical care, immigration law and travel. The event also allowed companies to exhibit their services and businesses to both each other and these newcomers, creating new channels of business while helping newer members. 

The event proved to be a rousing success with a large turnout of attendees from a broad spectrum of professional backgrounds, all of whom engaged with the exhibitors and their peers.
