Policy Notes: Data transfers must be a cornerstone of the UK’s digital trade strategy

The snapshot below is based on a summary of recent conversations between members of the BritishAmerican Business Policy Group and representatives from the UK Department for Digital, Culture, Media, and Sport (DCMS) about the UK’s work on attracting data flows and securing a leadership role in cross-border data transfers.

The UK government ran a cross-sector consultation on the UK National Data Strategy from 9 September 2020 to 9 December 2020. The business community is eagerly awaiting the publication of the response to that consultation.
