Nick Saenz is an associate at Lewis & Llewellyn LLP, where he focuses on commercial litigation.
Mr. Saenz has handled a wide range of matters, both on the plaintiff and defense side, including trade secret misappropriation, trademark cases, founders’ disputes, trust disputes, real estate disputes, fraudulent transfer cases, director and officer liability, and breach of contract cases, among other matters. Mr. Saenz’s clients have included start-ups, individuals, and Fortune 500 companies.
Mr. Saenz received his law degree from Emory University School of Law, where he was the Executive Articles Editor of the Emory Bankruptcy Developments Journal and graduated as a member of the Order of the Coif. While in law school, Mr. Saenz published an article cited by Collier on Bankruptcy as the seminal article regarding the intellectual property ownership structure of professional sports leagues in the United States. Mr. Saenz also served as an extern to the Federal Public Defender for the Northern District of Georgia and a judicial extern to the Honorable Karon O. Bowdre of the Northern District of Alabama.
Before joining Lewis & Llewellyn, Mr. Saenz worked at Kirkland & Ellis LLP and Shartsis Friese LLP in San Francisco. At Kirkland & Ellis, he focused on complex commercial litigation and bankruptcy disputes, including the defense of a company accused of a $4 billion fraudulent transfer. At Shartsis Friese, he handled a wide-variety of cases for individuals and closely-held companies, ranging from intellectual property disputes to defense of a fund manager accused of fraud by the Securities & Exchange Commission.
