British American Business Network (BABN)

The Largest Transatlantic Business Network

INTRODUCTION TO BABN

The British-American Business Network (BABN) is the largest transatlantic business network, with 22 chapters and over 2,000 member companies based in major business centers throughout North America and the United Kingdom. Its membership includes many of the world’s largest multinationals, as well as hundreds of middle-market and smaller companies.

MEMBER BENEFITS

The BAB Network strengthens and supports its chapters through content, connections and opportunities.  Chapters, in turn, help member companies grow their businesses by leveraging network connections across the UK and North America.  The BABN also engages with the US and UK governments on a broad range of policy issues impacting the trade of goods and services between the UK and North America. We maintain an ongoing dialogue with the Government on many of these issues and make direct, formal representations to Government on issues of particular concern.

MEMBER OPPORTUNITIES

In addition to the benefits that regional BABN chapters offer their members, the BABN offers a variety of business opportunities and services to help their member companies build and manage their business, including exclusive access to:

  • The event programs offered by all the BABN’s chapters throughout North America and the UK, providing opportunities to network and develop business with their members.
  • Opportunities to promote their company and its services/products to all the BABN’s membership on a year-round basis through the home page of the BABN website, by becoming a BABN Patron; taking out a banner ad, and/or by sponsoring the BABN website.
  • The BABN’s J-1 Visa Program, enabling BABN member companies to bring qualified employees and interns from anywhere in the world into the United States for training and employment.

BOARDS AND COMMITTIES

The BABN is a not-for-profit membership organization, governed by its Board of Directors (which includes a representative from each of its chapters, as well as its elected officers and CEO)  and by its Steering Committee (which is elected by its Board).

We envision a future where our 20 chapters, spanning major business centers across North America and the United Kingdom, serve as catalysts for innovation, opportunity, and shared prosperity.

As the largest transatlantic business network, we aspire to be the driving force behind a community of over 2,000 member companies, ranging from global corporations to middle-market enterprises. Our vision is to empower businesses of all sizes, providing them with the content, connections, and opportunities needed to thrive in an ever-evolving global landscape.”

On behalf of its members, the BABN also actively engages with government on a broad range of policy issues to ensure that their actions take account of our members’ views and interests.
