Evangeline (“Evan”) Burbidge Joins the Partnership of Lewis & Llewellyn

Lewis & Llewellyn is thrilled to announce that Evan Burbidge has joined the partnership. Evan joined the firm in 2014 and has been a key member of the team ever since.

Evan recently returned from a several week trial in San Mateo, where she successfully represented the interests of a private equity firm with over $1 billion in committed capital. Evan knows that being an effective litigator means not only fighting hard, but also being a proactive problem solver. She is a straight-shooter respected by both colleagues and opposing counsel. Clients turn to Evan when they need someone who understands the importance of focusing on the big picture in order to achieve business objectives.

Since joining Lewis & Llewellyn, Evan has achieved many victories for her clients, including:

  • The prosecution of a trade secrets and breach of contract case for a start-up company against an industry giant, achieving a favorable settlement before trial;
  • The successful defense of a fraud-based breach of contract claim, with millions of dollars at issue; and
  • The continued representation of a Fortune 100 company in dozens of matters.

In addition to her achievements as a business litigator, Evan is active in the community. She is a Board Member for the Community Energy Services Corporation and Co-Chair of the BASF Barristers’ Litigation Section. Evan has also been selected as a Northern California Rising Star by Super Lawyers Magazine every year since joining Lewis & Llewellyn.

Evan attended Yale University and University of Michigan Law School, earning honors from both schools. Before joining Lewis & Llewellyn, Evan practiced at Latham & Watkins.
