Duncan Edwards, CEO, BritishAmerican Business, Comments on Third Withdrawal Agreement Failing to Achieve Parliamentary Approval

London/New York – In response to the third Withdrawal Agreement failing to secure Parliamentary approval this afternoon, BritishAmerican Business CEO, Duncan Edwards, released the following statement:

“The transatlantic business community has continued to support the passing of the Withdrawal Agreement negotiated between the UK and the EU. The failure by the UK Parliament to pass the Withdrawal Agreement today in the House is deeply disappointing.”

“While we welcome the fact that Parliament has rejected ‘no-deal’ we also recognise that this remains the legal default unless another solution is found. Therefore, we urge all parties involved to do all that is necessary to find a solution that works for the country, businesses and people before April 12th.”
