Stephen Legg is a Grant Thornton partner with more than 22 years of public accounting experience. Stephen has extensive experience serving commercial enterprises, both private and public, in the consumer products and technology industries.

He has served both startup companies and large global companies and has experience with internal control reviews and acquisitions. Aside from direct client work, Stephen is the California leader in the Technology Practice and an International Finance Reporting Standards champion leading local office trainings.

Stephen is also the local Client Service Champion and works to ensure the office delivers outstanding service to all clients. Additionally, Stephen is an active supporter of Grant Thornton’s Greater Bay Area office community leadership team, a group dedicated to giving back to the community by partnering with various local not-for-profit organizations.

Stephen previously completed a two-year secondment to the Grant Thornton — United Kingdom office in London. Stephen’s international experience provides our clients a unique perspective on doing business in other countries. Stephen assisted clients throughout the U.K. and the European Community by providing technical oversight and managing the U.S. GAAP, U.S. GAAS, and U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission financial reporting process and assisted with due diligence projects on several cross-border acquisitions.
