This September, Crown Worldwide Moving & Storage is celebrating its 40th anniversary. Its longevity has its roots in the company’s entrepreneurial culture and in the management’s focus on anticipating customer needs. Envisioning a new type of moving company that could provide exceptional service, Robert Menne and a group of investors founded Crown in 1972 – right in the middle of a recession. Some called it crazy, but the market responded and a determined management team increased business tenfold in the first five years.

The company has been a member of BABC Northern California since 1990. Over the years many things have changed: Crown is now a stockholder in Unigroup Inc, maintains an Omni membership, is a Green Certified company and has grown to employ over 300 personnel. What has never changed is the company’s commitment to providing outstanding service and exceeding the expectations of their customers. Early in 2012, to punctuate a 40 year of tradition of innovation, Crown implemented RedSky Mobility Management Software. This cutting edge cloud-based technology will further improve connectivity, flexibility and response time, which Crown knows its customers need in this fast-paced world.
