The second Commonwealth Networking Series kicked off last night at a brand-new venue. The recently opened ‘2020 PGA Experience’ at Four Embarcadero Center drew the attention of the Bays Commonwealth contingency and golf enthusiasts ahead of next years
2020 PGA Championship at San Francisco’s very own Harding Park. Representatives and members from all our co hosts were in attendance; Australian American Chamber of Commerce, British American Business Council, British Columbia // Canada International Trade and Investment Office, Consulate General of Canada in San Francisco and the New Zealand American Association of San Francisco.
Our guests were welcomed to a host of light nibbles and an array of beverages. 78 registered guests joined us and enjoyed the exemplary fine from our wine sponsor
Penfolds, who’s representative skillfully imbued their merriment. To continue the Australian beverage theme of the evening tasty Little Creatures beers were kindly donated.
The generosity of Penfolds was extended in the business card prize draw which lead to 4 lucky members having an exclusive wine tasting experience with some top end Australian wines.
A speech from Championship Director, Barry Deach, of the 2020 PGA Championship followed, where his enthusiasm and passion for the PGA Tour informed and excited all those in the room. The PGA Team also added 2 exclusive Championship backpacks to the draw and were extremely well received.
There were both familiar and new faces in attendance, however by the end of the evening there were smiles all around.
We would like to thank everyone that supported the event by coming along, we hope you all had a great time and made not only valuable connections but enjoyed some fine wine and a great setting.
