On Saturday the 22nd July the BABC Young Professionals group headed out to the stunning vistas of Napa and Sonoma Valley to visit 3 unique wineries in the heart of California wine country.
Following the early pickup from central San Francisco the views crossing the bay bridge and North to Napa were complimented by the knowledge of the Coach driver/tour guide.
The first stop was at the Nicholson Ranch Winery, a family run villa located in the southern foothills of Sonoma. They greeted the group and informed them of the wines on offer; the views of the gently sloping vineyards were the perfect complement to their range of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay varietals.
The group moved on to the Andretti winery owned by the famous ex-IndyCar and Formula 1 driver, where a diverse and delicious selection of Pinot Grigios, Pinot Noirs and Cabernets were enjoyed by attendees.
After a tasty and much needed lunch in the gorgeous historic Yountville, the coach headed onward to the Madonna estate , an organic winemaker located in the Carneros region. There the group was treated to a highly informative talk about the aging process, which made their carefully laid out selection even more memorable.
We would like to thank all attendees for making the event such a special occasion, and we sincerely hope that you enjoyed the tour!
