BAB Policy Update October

We kicked off October with an exciting meeting in London, where BAB and 15 of its members were invited to sit down with US Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross to discuss how their businesses were adapting to changing economic landscape in the context of Brexit.

October also saw us launch our latest whitepaper – Moving the Bar: How the US and UK Can Help Create a New Level Playing Field for Digital Trade, setting out comprehensive recommendations for how the UK and US can lead on global digital trade and grow the transatlantic digital economy.

In London, we also raised a glass to the transatlantic relationship at our Annual Gala Dinner, where we welcomed friends and members from across our network to meet, network and celebrate those that keep the special relationship growing.

We also released a number of statements in October, welcoming the new Brexit Deal, and highlighted the negative impacts of US tariffs on imports from the EU, following a state aid dispute involving Airbus – check them out in the ‘Statements, Press Releases & Media’ section of the full update
