More than 60 members joined us at the Intercontinental Mark Hopkins Hotel for our Annual General Meeting and Diamond Jubilee Networking Evening on Wednesday June 6.

Reports of the year’s events and developments were delivered by President Colin Brown, Treasurer Stephen Legg and Business Council Manager Zoe Matthews. All board members standing for re-election were successfully elected, and we are also delighted to welcome Gerald Brady of Silicon Valley Bank, Christopher Moore of HSBC and Stephen Wares of CCW Business Solutions to the Board of Directors. Brenda Santoro, of Silicon Valley Bank, David Hants, of HSBC, and Will Robberts of Kempton Advisors, who all stepped down from the Board this year, were thanked for all the time and hard work they have devoted to the BABC.

A Diamond Jubilee Networking Event was then held at the Top of the Mark to celebrate Queen Elizabeth II’s 60 years on the throne. Whilst not quite rivalling the street parties being thrown back in the UK, we got into the Jubilee spirit with miles of Union Jack bunting decorating the bar, toasts and a fairly tuneful rendition of God Save the Queen!
