According to London & Partners, London Heathrow has reclaimed its title as the world’s most connected airport according to aviation database OAG, having risen 21 places in the ranking, with New York’s JFK coming in second place. The news comes after Heathrow fell to 22nd place in last year’s ranking, with Chicago’s O’Hare airport taking the number one spot in terms of international arrivals, departures and total number of worldwide destinations in 2022. The findings of this year’s database symbolises the resilience and adaptability of not just Heathrow but airports worldwide and is important in demonstrating the buoyancy of international travel and connection post-pandemic.
