Harlequins in the USA

Last week, we welcomed the London Harlequins Rugby Club on tour here in the Bay Area! The tour, organized as part of Harlequins’ strategic partnership with USA Rugby, allowed the players and coaches, led by Academy and Global Development Director, Tony Diprose, to activate and engage with the local community, while helping to expand the sport in the USA and North California. In addition, the tour provided the squad with the ability to prepare for its150th season in a completely new environment. “Most importantly though,” said Diprose, “it provides Harlequins the platform to expand its name, and the game of rugby, to a captive audience which we hope will grow participation and awareness in sport’s biggest market.”
