Dear Friends, Colleagues and Travel Partners: 

Over two days this October, I will be hiking 30 kilometers into Arizona desert and the Grand Canyon with my British Airways colleagues to build awareness for Flying Start (
https://www.ba-flyingstart.com/about), British Airways’ charity partnership benefitting Comic Relief (UK) and the Boys and Girls Club (USA).

Many of you know Flying Start already as you’ve been encouraged on British Airways flights to drop pocket change of any currency into little envelopes to change children’s lives in cities where British Airways flies. Our fundraising efforts involve much more than just our inflight announcements and those little white envelopes. So far in 2015, British Airways and our customers have raised over £11 mm, partly through calling attention to the cause through adventures like the one that I will embark on in October.

I need your help because although I have plenty of little white envelopes, I don’t think I will find $1000 in loose change in the Arizona desert!
