In order for us to convene safely, what are we doing and implementing to protect you and your guests?
Please see our Frequently Asked Questions below. If you have a question not noted here, please email Jo Healey, our Executive Director.
Will I/we be required to be vaccinated to attend?
Yes, all guests will be required to be fully vaccinated and will need to show proof of vaccination upon arrival at the Fairmont. If you cannot show proof of vaccination, you will not be permitted entry to the hotel/event.
Additionally, all guests will be required to sign this waiver holding the BABC Northern California and the Fairmont San Francisco harmless in the event that a guest contracts the Covid-19 Coronavirus.
Will my paper vaccination record be sufficient or can I/we present a digital record of my/our vaccination status?
Yes, it will be valid, but we recommend that you save a digital version of your vaccination record. You can obtain a digital record of your vaccination at the link below. Complete the online form and follow the instructions. Screenshot your digital record and upon arrival, pull it up on your phone, and have your ID ready for our check-in volunteers to cross reference.

Will you be retaining data on my/our vaccination status?
We respect your privacy. We will not keep a record of your vaccination status.
Will I/we need to wear a mask during the event?
Until otherwise informed by the City and State, all guests will be required by State and City Law to wear a mask indoors when not eating or drinking. This will be enforced by our volunteers.
How will the event be different from previous years?
To avoid any possibility of Covid-19 transmission between guests mingling closely to one another, and to protect all guests, we have put in place a few social distancing plans.
- There will not be a pre-event Champagne Reception.
Instead, once you are checked-in, you will have the opportunity to purchase raffle tickets at socially distanced tables in the Terrace Room (where the reception is usually held) and then will proceed to your table in the Grand Ballroom. Champagne will be available at your table. Raffle ticket sellers will also be circulating in the Grand Ballroom.
- Tables sizes will be smaller.
60″ table tops that usually accommodate 10 guests will only seat 8 guests. 72″ table tops that usually accommodate 12 guests will only seat 10 guests.
- There will be no Official After Party
Due to social distancing protections, the After Party will unfortunately not take place this year.
