While the BABC’s Christmas Luncheon is our major fundraiser for the year, we have also long used the luncheon as an opportunity to share our good fortune. In that spirit, we are very pleased to announce that Item #1 of the Live Auction has been donated directly to Raphael House and all proceeds from this item will directly benefit Raphael House, a 501c3 non-profit charitable organization.
The winning bidder of Item No. 1 may be able to deduct the amount that is bid in excess of the value of this item. Please consult with your tax advisor.
Items #2 – 7 of the Live Auction are donated to the BABC Northern California, a 501c6 non-profit membership organization based in San Francisco. BABC Northern California provides a range of platforms for our members to access practical business expansion opportunities by delivering high-caliber networking events, and marketing opportunities, top-quality business intelligence, and the opportunity to achieve real business from the personal relationships they develop through their membership. The Christmas Luncheon Fundraiser and Live Auction substantially support the operations of the office and help ensure our members continue to receive maximum value. Amounts bid on these items are not deductible as charitable contributions but may be deductible as a business expense. Bidders on these items are strongly encouraged to consult their tax advisors to confirm the rules and regulations regarding donations and contributions made to a non-charitable organization.
