San Francisco Business Times named her one of the “Most Influential Women in Business in the Bay Area” in 2010. Catherine’s career in commercial real estate began in 1995 after she completed a commercial real estate undergraduate degree focusing on law and investment analysis. Prior to joining Sperry Van Ness | SV Advisors Catherine was an investment broker with CB Richard Ellis’s Private Client Group. She has gained local recognition as an expert in development sites and commercial real estate sales between $1-30 million in San Francisco and the North Bay. In the last five years she has sold over $114 Million in investment and development transactions. Much of her success in the real estate field can be attributed to her early years of training as a Chartered Surveyor in England. At Sperry Van Ness MCRE, Inc., she is currently assisting local and regional banks, as well as Special Servicers with market intelligence, broker opinion of value services, surveillance of potentially troubled assets and disposition services.
Catherine’s professional affiliations and accreditations include being the President of CREW SF (Commercial Real Estate Women San Francisco), a Director of the San Francisco British American Business Council (2005 - 2010), a Fellow (FRICS) and the RICS Northern California representative of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, a member of ULI (Urban Land Institute), has her Certified Commercial Investment Manager Designation (CCIM), is a SPUR member, a Belden Club member and is a licensed California Real Estate Broker. She has been a speaker at numerous industry events. Catherine earned her real estate degree (BSc. Hons.) in commercial real estate at South Bank University, London. She lives in San Francisco and enjoys skeet shooting, skiing and running in her spare time.
